Calcium hypochlorite 65%

Calcium hypochlorite is a white, slightly colored powdery product with a strong odor of chlorine, soluble in water. The substance has strong oxidizing properties, mixes with water, and when isolated from solutions forms crystalline hydrates. Upon contact with air, it slowly decomposes, which provokes a decrease in active chlorine in the composition. More stable in dry environments without carbon dioxide.

Sodium hypochlorite reacts with hydrochloric acid, releasing chlorine, and also decomposes when heated. In alkaline environments in the presence of a catalyst it is capable of releasing oxygen. Active against many other substances.

The raw material is moderately toxic. Dangerous if inhaled in the form of concentrated vapor, or if ingested in powder form.

Calcium hypochlorite is widely used:
- for disinfection of sanitary equipment, indoor surfaces, hard furniture, dishes, cleaning equipment, toys, outdoor installations;
- when disinfecting household and drinking water;
when disinfecting patient secretions such as: urine, feces, sputum, vomit;
- for disinfection of bacterial and viral etymology: tuberculosis, anthrax, tularimia, cholera, meltosis, glanders, plague, fungal diseases;
-participates in the disinfection of various wastes, blood and other biological substrates, water supply facilities;
- for degassing. This is a popular way to extract dissolved or trapped gases. It is needed both for devices (for example, complex vacuum installations) and in the manufacture of metal products (to increase the strength and wear resistance of the finished product);
- for bleaching and many other purposes
